A quick (partial) intro to what we do in class, e.g., kanji, verbs, particles, and we use kana everywhere (but learn that yourself -- I will help, though).

How to ask a simple question, in Roman characters, and written in Japanese

Make a couple of students write the practice sentence:

先生、ちょっと、質問聞いて良いですか。

Discussion of one-way-changing verbs and five-way-changing verbs and how they compare to western indo-european languages (like Spanish).

Examine the radicals of the kanji used above.
