I ran across Konstantin Tsiolkovsky in following a link on Generation Ships (a topic of one of my novels). I was hitherto unaware of the term Astronautics as a specific word, by the way.
There are apparently books by Tsiolkovsky in Russian, annotated by Werner von Braun in German. I should try to get a copy of some of this stuff -- would be good practice!
