詩 The Battle of the Sexes

His onerous yoke is made urgent
Only by what befalls him
Should he not carry it

Hers is no less nor more ridiculous
Except in that she choose not
To set its weight upon another

He jealously guards the harsh turf
That he can never escape
Survival rather than oblivion

By de Beauvoiresque escape hatches
She advances step by tiny step
Unassailability tantamount to omnipotence
