mDnD Terrain Examples
I want to do some kind of analysis as to whether I can reasonably generate continents that look like real ones using the random dice-based techniques I'm working on. Here are some real continents how they might be on a fractal grid like I'm using in my terrain system.
Not really no.
With a period, it often comes when you’re asleep, so you wake up covered in blood, unless you are lucky enough to be regular and can wear pads to bed when you expect it. A period can be heavier or lighter with no discernible pattern and a pad or tampon bought for a lighter period is simply not enough for a heavier period.
Then there're the side effects. Cramps ranging from mild to debilitating, pain levels light to ‘holy fuck who stuck an axe in my stomach!’, headaches, insatiable hunger, and more. Actually a lot of the symptoms you get while pregnant too.
Periods can be so regular you can time to the hour when they’ll appear or go for weeks between cycles, longer than the expected 4 weeks. You don’t know when or where it’ll strike and all you can do is be somewhat prepared.
About the only male equivalent is a hard kick to the family jewels and that wears off a lot faster than a period does.
Some men seem to think you can control when you get your period, or you can somehow ‘hold it’ till a more convenient time. However, that's total bunk. You are at the mercy of your body, not the other way around.
I’m in my late 40s now and I can tell you I cannot wait for menopause. I’m totally done with this BS every month.
Would this be viable today in any conception?

In the morning, Johnny, Fred's little brother, gets up and has his breakfast.
As he is going out of the door to go to school, he asks his Mom if Fred and Mary are up yet.
She replies, "No".
Johnny asks, "Do you know what I think?"
His mom replies, "I don't want to hear what you think! Just go to school."
Johnny comes home for lunch and asks his mom, "Are Fred and Mary up yet?"
She replies, "No."
Johnny says, "Do you know what I think?"
His mom replies, "Never mind what you think!
Eat your lunch and go back to school."
After school, Johnny comes home and asks again, "Are Fred and Mary up yet?"
His mom says "No."
He asks, "Do you know what I think?"
His Mom replies, "Ok, do tell me what you think?"
He says: "Last night Fred came to my room for the Vaseline and I think I gave him my airplane glue."
