Japanese Class (last Sunday)

I forgot to take a picture of Alice's wonderful drawing of the 7 types of radicals, but we may do that again soon, anyway.

We reviewed the types of Japanese verbs (and then we watched Kiki!!)

A quick discussion of how Japanese cities are organized.  We'll probably discuss asking for directions and such this Sunday.

Life is a shit sandwich
Eat it or starve
Can we learn to love
This pap, this pablum
This endless trough
Of lukewarm oatmeal
That sustains us
Should we let it?

I devour the slop
Hoping to find treasures
Prizes in the cereal box
Sino quod non
I tire of waiting
It isn't worth it

Find good in all things
Live in the moment
Notice the cinnamon
Enjoy the walnuts
The chunks of apricot
If it all were honey
I would grow sick of it

If I believe
That what I take in
Is needed to fix me
Then I am lost
If I am all right
Then all things are good
And I can find G-d
