We tried reading a history of Holland, "Kitchen" by Banana Yoshida, and a "pulp novel".
We developed a kind of "poem" to help remember kanji.
In green: Hand to eye, hand to broom, the nurse with mouth wet from a kiss cleans up by taking eight potatoes with no grass on them out from under the people's roof and puts them out on the hillside making the big tea shop (cafe) clean.
