I need to look up that AI Belarussian candidate thing at minute three as this is a major plot point in the prequel to my The Selenian Wars novel, The Last President, i.e., where the president of Oceania is actually a conglomerate of people behind a holographic character who gets elected. Actually, the last President of the United States of America before it absorbs all of South America and the English-speaking countries (yes, like in 1984). The President himself may or may not (spoiler alert!) disappear unbeknownst.
