It looks like the number of deaths, currently at 186K, will reach a quarter million by Election Day, November 3rd, an over 300 thousand by the end of the year. That's more Americans than have died in all wars except the Civil War.
But notice how the number of cases has gone up by a factor of ten between April 10 and July 20, from 30K to 300K. Also, it looks like the curve became steeper at then end of June and hasn't gone back.
